Revival of student-led newspaper, Your Battle Ground Public Schools releases first issue

The revived student-led newspaper, "Your Battle Ground Public Schools" began in early spring 2025 with 6th grader Rye Dilley from Tukes Valley Middle. With the support of many students and staff, Issue 001 came together to highlight the achievements, programs, and community engagement of Battle Ground Public Schools, emphasizing student voice, recent student accomplishments and a dive into the district's history.

The goal of reviving Your Battle Ground Public Schools was to tell some of these stories and give students the ability to tell each other's stories. With a short window of time at the end of the school year to make this project happen, I am ecstatic to see this publication finished and I hope to continue it in the future. - Rye Dilley
